Canadiens' Max Pacioretty: Closing in on best scoring season
Pacioretty picked up a goal and an assist in Tuesday's 4-1 win over Dallas.
Analysis:
Stars goalie Kari Lehtonen was able to turn aside the first 26 shots he faced, but turned back into a pumpkin when Pacioretty beat him in the latter stages of the second period. The 28-year-old winger turned this into his first multi-point effort since March 12 with the lone helper on the game's final goal scored by Alexander Radulov. Pacioretty's career high of 39 goals from the 2013-14 season seems just out of reach, but he's just four shy of his 2014-15 career high of 67 points with six games to play.
