Red Wings' Ben Street: Making first appearance with Detroit
Street is in the lineup Tuesday against the Hurricanes, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports.
Analysis:
The 30-year-old center will play his first game in the NHL this season thanks to Andreas Athanasiou's injury. It's well deserved, as he's torn it up for the AHL's Grand Rapids Griffins, leading the team with 54 points in 60 games. He's had difficulty making the jump to finding a spot in the NHL, but now could be a chance for Street to prove himself with a struggling Detroit team.
