Rangers' Henrik Lundqvist: Absorbs shootout loss after strong outing

Lundqvist stopped 26 of 28 shots Tuesday against Montreal, only to suffer a shootout loss.

Analysis:

Lundqvist and Carey Price turned in a compelling goalie duel with both teams generating a good number of offensive chances through 65 minutes, but the Swede gave up two tallies in the shootout. This marks just his (and the Rangers') second overtime loss this season, and it's just his second defeat in his last eight outings, a span in which Lundqvist owns a sparkling .940 save percentage. He's had his struggles this year, but Lundqvist is officially on the right track again.
