Senators' Bobby Ryan: Designated for injured reserve

Ryan (finger) has been placed on injured reserve per the NHL Media site.

Analysis:

With numerous injuries coming out of the Sens' matchup with the Jets on Sunday, the team needed to make some call-ups and created room under the 23-man limit by placing Ryan on IR. While the team has yet to provide a timeline for the winger's return, he remains out indefinitely. While his production level has dipped this season -- just 24 points in 50 outings -- the 29-year-old remains a solid mid-range fantasy option when healthy.
