Ryan Miller was six seconds from a shutout. His Vancouver Canucks teammate Chris Tanev made sure his goalie got the win.

After the Calgary Flames made a 1-0 game 1-1 in the dying seconds of the third period, Tanev and Daniel Sedin played give and go early in the extra five-minute frame, with Tanev going upstairs while in alone on Brian Elliott to secure a big second point for Vancouver.

Miller was stellar in net - he deserved a shutout. He stopped 35 of 36 shots, and stood tall in the third period, when Calgary outshot Vancouver 18-2. The Canucks finished with only 19 shots in the game (their first shot went in from center ice).

By picking up a point, the Flames remain in the second wild-card spot in the West, thanks to L.A.'s loss to Florida. Vancouver sits four points back of the Flames.
