Canadiens' Tomas Plekanec: Expected to move to top line
Plekanec is expected to join Montreal's top line with both Alex Galchenyuk (knee) and David Desharnais (knee) expected to miss the next 6-to-8 weeks, Stu Cowan of the Montreal Gazette reports.
Analysis:
With nine points (two goals, seven assists) through the first 26 gmaes, Plekanec is hardly having a year worthy of being a first-line center, but that's where the Habs are at this point. He scored his second goal of the season Tuesday night, ending a 13-game drought, so the Czech does at least have some momentum heading into Thursday's contest against the Devils.
