Avalanche's Cody Goloubef: Promoted from AHL

Goloubef was called up from the minors Monday, Terry Frei of The Denver Post reports.

Analysis:

Goloubef, who was recently acquired via trade, could be called into action right away due to the injury to Erik Johnson (leg). The 27-year-old has yet to appear in an NHL contest this season, but has registered eight points in 18 outings in the AHL. If Fedor Tyutin (lower body) is unable to suit up, Goloubef figures to slot into the Avs lineup Tuesday against Nashville.
