Hurricanes' Noah Hanifin: Racks up three helpers in win over Calgary
Hanifin notched three assists -- two on the power play -- in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Flames.
Analysis:
Nothing highlights the vagaries of small sample sizes quite like going from an early-season disappointment (one assist and a minus-4 rating in three games) to a point-per-game player in the span of a single contest. Despite the productivity, Hanifin skated only 15:16 in his third-pairing role, which is right around his average over these first four games. Those limited minutes -- not to mention the Hurricanes' team-wide lack of defensive acumen -- will limit his fantasy value, but after being made the fifth overall pick in the 2015 draft and jumping straight to the NHL, Hanifin has boatloads of upside.
