Bruins' Patrice Bergeron: Scores in season debut

Bergeron (lower body) scored a goal and finished with a plus-2 rating in his season debut Thursday against the Devils.

Analysis:

Bergeron immediately displayed the two-way value he brings, winning 13 of 24 faceoffs and firing two shots to round out an excellent all-around performance. He topped the 30-goal mark for the third time last season, and Bergeron has a solid shot at doing so again while skating on the top line with Brad Marchand and the rapidly developing David Pastrnak flanking him.
