Canadiens' Mike Condon: Waived Monday
Condon was waived by the Canadiens on Monday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
Analysis:
With Al Montoya signing with Montreal in the offseason, Condon seemed destined for the waiver wire from the onset. If the netminder goes unclaimed, he will be reassigned to AHL St. John's. In his previous stint in the minors during the 2014-15 season, the 26-year-old put up a 23-19-6 record that include four shutouts and a 2.44 GAA. Considering the number of teams with questions in goal, Condon may get snatched off the wire, but it'd likely be in a backup role, which limits his fantasy value.
