Korpikoski agreed to terms on a one-year contract with Dallas on Monday.
Analysis:
Korpikoski spent training camp with the Flames but was unable to secure a long-term deal in Calgary. With injuries to Mattias Janmark (knee) and Cody Eakin (knee), the Stars were in need of an experienced forward. In four preseason contests, the 30-year-old failed to get on the scoresheet while averaging 15:15 in ice time per night, including minutes on both the power play and the penalty kill. The winger is unlikely to rack up a lot of offensive production, which limits his fantasy value.
