Panthers' Jonathan Huberdeau: Suffers leg injury, leaves game
Huberdeau left Saturday's preseason game with a left lower-leg injury after getting tangled up with New Jersey's Sergey Kalinin, Daniel Goffenberg of Sportsnet reports.
Analysis:
Kalinin's skate came down on the back of Huberdeau's left leg in the area of his calf and ankle, and he needed to be helped off the ice. It could be a nasty laceration, but we won't learn the extent of the injury until he undergoes and MRI on Sunday, according to Bob McKenzie of TSN. The worst-case scenario is that he's dealing with tendon damage.
