Red Wings' Niklas Kronwall: Still nursing knee injury
Kronwall (knee) is unlikely to be ready for the start of Red Wings training camp, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports.
Analysis:
Kronwall was limited to 64 games during the 2015-16 campaign due to knee injuries and it appears the condition has lingered through the offseason and could prevent the 35-year-old from joining Detroit when training camp begins Sept. 23. However, with the NHL season still nearly a month away, Kronwall has plenty of time to recover and should be ready for the Wings' Season Opener on Oct. 13 against Tampa Bay.
