Kings' Jeff Carter: Out of World Cup with injury
Carter will miss the World Cup of Hockey after sustaining a lower-body injury, Jon Rosen of LA Kings Insider reports.
Analysis:
Carter will be replaced by Corey Perry in Team Canada's roster, which shouldn't affect their chances of bringing home the Championship. What remains unclear, is whether or not the 31-year-old Carter will be healthy for the start of the NHL season. The Kings will be looking to the veteran for another strong performance after back-to-back 60+ point seasons.
