Iiro Pakarinen will return to the Edmonton Oilers on a one-year agreement, the club announced Monday.
He will earn $725,000 on the one-way pact, according to Bob Stauffer of Oilers Now.
The 24-year-old racked up five goals and 13 points in 63 games last season in a bottom-six function. He split the 2014-15 campaign - his first professional season in North America - between the Oilers and the American Hockey League's Oklahoma City Barons.
Pakarinen posted forgettable underlying numbers last season, including a woeful 38.2 goals for percentage at even strength.
