No athlete in the history of sport has had a deeper impact on the world than Muhammad Ali, and in the wake of his death late Friday, the world is paying homage to the greatest of all time.

Muhammad Ali, the three-time heavyweight champion of the world who was a titan both inside, and more influentially, outside the ring, died Friday of septic shock in a Phoenix-area hospital. He was 74 years old.

Adored as "The Greatest of All Time," the death of the transcendent Ali has elicited widespread reaction, as the world pays tribute to a generational figure whose impact extends far beyond the sport of boxing.
