Rangers agree to terms with Swedish forward Malte Stromwall

The New York Rangers agreed to terms with free agent forward Malte Stromwall, general manager Jeff Gorton announced Sunday.

The 21-year-old Swede appeared in 49 games with AIK of Allsvenskan in Sweden's second-tier league this season, registering 25 goals and 17 assists for 42 points.
He also appeared in 87 career games in Sweden's elite league, recording nine goals and five assists.
Prior to that, Stromwall spent two seasons with the WHL's Tri-City Americans, for whom he registered 32 goals and 61 assists.
