The NFL cancelled the veteran combine this year, according to Yahoo Sports' Eric Edholm.

In an initiative built to provide veterans with a chance to re-enter the league, the league debuted the inaugural NFL Veteran Combine last March.

Unfortunately, the combine did little to bolster the profiles for a number of players, and there wasn't a single significant signing that impacted the 2015 season as a result of the event.

Last year's notable participants included Michael Sam, Brady Quinn, Felix Jones, and Adam Carriker.
