The New York Giants have selected Oklahoma receiver Sterling Shepard in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft, 40th overall.
Shepard provides a much-needed upgrade to the position alongside star wideout Odell Beckham Jr. and Victor Cruz.
His route-running ability and overall quickness can be put to use both split out wide and when lined up in the slot, making the Giants' offense all the more difficult for opposing defenses to handle.

- Fairly limited catch radius, and while quick, lacks breakaway speed.
- Performed most of work in Big 12, a conference void of big-time defenses during his tenure.
