The San Diego Chargers signed wide receiver Travis Benjamin to a four-year contract worth a reported $24-million, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Benjamin is guaranteed $13 million and will be paid $18 million over the first three years of the deal, according to Rapoport.
Arguably the fastest wide receiver on the market, he'll aid a passing game in desperate need of a second target behind Keenan Allen.
Benjamin is coming off a breakout season in which he recorded 68 receptions for 966 yards and five touchdowns, despite playing with a carousel of replacement-level quarterbacks with the Cleveland Browns.
Playing with Philip Rivers will be a significant upgrade, and the Chargers will be thrilled to gain a player in his prime.
