The Houston Texans are making a strong push to sign free-agent running back Lamar Miller and the two sides are currently working toward a deal, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Reports surfaced earlier in the day that the Texans were indeed interested in acquiring Miller and negotiations have evidently been moving swiftly in the time since.
Miller would replace Arian Foster as the featured back in Houston's offense, finally having an opportunity to contribute in such a role after being underused in Miami.
The 24-year-old started in each of the Dolphins' 16 games last season, running for 872 yards and eight touchdowns, adding another 397 yards and two scores as a receiver.
