Wendall Williams sets NFL Regional Combine record with 4.19-second 40-yard dash
Wendall Williams didn't get an invite to this year's NFL Scouting Combine, but it's safe to assume that he's since managed to get the attention of pro scouts around the league.
The wide receiver prospect from little-known University of the Cumberlands in Kentucky put on a show at an NFL Regional Combine event Saturday in Minnesota, starting with an unbelievable 40-yard dash time of 4.19 seconds.

Williams' athleticism was also on full display in the vertical, where he posted an incredible jump of 45 inches.
Not only would both performances have easily topped that of every other prospect at this year's scouting combine in Indianapolis, but the 40-time also would have seen him break Chris Johnson's long-standing record of 4.24 seconds.
Adidas was offering prospects a $1-million prize had they managed to top Johnson's mark at the combine, provided they did so wearing their new 2016 adizero 5-Star 40 cleats.
