Matt Hasselbeck confirmed his release from the Indianapolis Colts on Monday with a tweet expressing his gratitude to the organization.
Hasselbeck spent three seasons with the Colts after a long career with the Seattle Seahawks and a two-season stint with the Tennessee Titans.
While the veteran has said he wants to play another year, it's unclear what his options will be in free agency. A team looking for an experienced backup will be his best bet.
