Devon Still says he's received futures offers from 2 teams

Devon Still is still getting looks from NFL teams.

The former Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle received futures contract offers from two undisclosed teams, he told ESPN on Monday. He'll be eligible to sign with one of them once the regular season ends in January or after its playoff run ends, should the team advance to the postseason.

Still, whose 5-year daughter Leah has waged a public battle with cancer, was released by the Bengals in September. He announced Dec. 1 that Leah's most recent scans show no evidence of the disease, and believes he can convince teams that he'll be focused on football moving forward.

"That was the issue for a lot of teams," Still said. "My daughter went into remission last March, but she still had a long way to go as far as treatment. They weren't really sure which direction that was going to go in, but now that my daughter is about to be finished (treatment), teams will be able to see that we can get back to living our normal lives."

In the meantime, Still will continue cheering on his old teammates.

"They're getting exactly what they deserve," he said. "When you do good, you receive good. And the way the Bengals organization stuck by me last year given what my daughter was going through, and seeing what type of season they're having now, I couldn't wish for anything better for them."
