The New Orleans Saints are set to sign veteran linebacker Phillip Hunt, according to ESPN's Adam Caplan.
The signing could be indicative of the health of starting outside linebacker Hau'oli Kikaha, who's been nursing an ankle injury and was unable to finish the Saints' last game.
Hunt appeared in two games for the Detroit Lions this season before being released last month, notching seven tackles and a sack. He was out of the NFL last season and spent 2013 recovering from a torn ACL.
