Giants' Pierre-Paul confident he'll curtail Brady, Patriots

New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul is sensing an occurrence of deja vu.

The Giants square off against the undefeated New England Patriots on Sunday, and Pierre-Paul believes he'll be able to stymie Tom Brady and company once again.

New York defeated a previously unbeaten New England squad to capture Super Bowl XLII. With Pierre-Paul in tow four years later, the Giants' pass rush disrupted Brady's rhythm en route to a 17-14 victory in Super Bowl XLVI.

Pierre-Paul is confident the Giants' strategy of rushing four men to distort Brady's timing will work once again.

"We're going to get to the quarterback, I know I am," Pierre-Paul said, according to FOX Sports. "Like I say, they're undefeated, but they have to come through here first."

Pierre-Paul admitted that it would be a different personnel group that upset Brady's Patriots four years ago.

"Yeah, it's a different group. It was me, (Justin) Tuck, Osi (Umenyiora), those are pass-rushers." Pierre-Paul said.

The Giants are ranked last in the NFL with a paltry nine sacks, so it's a bold proclamation from Pierre-Paul. Then again, no one thought the Giants would shock the vaunted Patriots twice in the Super Bowl.
