Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler was diagnosed with a pulled hamstring after suffering the injury during Sunday's 48-23 loss to the Arizona Cardinals, head coach John Fox confirmed.
"Like I mentioned, it takes a while to run tests," Fox said via ESPN's Jeff Dickerson. "Our medical people will inform me, and then I will inform you. But at this point he's got a pulled hamstring."
Cutler was replaced by Jimmy Clausen, who went 14-of-23 for 121 yards and an interception. Prior to exiting the game, Cutler went 8-of-9 for 120 yards, with a touchdown and an interception.
It's unclear if Cutler will be out for a prolonged period, but it would be a dire situation for the Bears if they had to resort to using Clausen in a long-term capacity.
