The New York Giants swapped out one safety for another.

The Giants announced Monday they've brought back Craig Dahl, who was a member of their Super Bowl XLII championship team in 2007. They released Stevie Brown, whom they signed last Monday.

Dahl has plenty of history with defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, having played for him during his first stint in New York and with the St. Louis Rams from 2009 to 2011.

The 30-year-old spent the previous two seasons with the San Francisco 49ers, recording 36 tackles and an interception in 32 games.
