The San Diego Chargers could be in need of some reinforcements at outside linebacker.
Tourek Williams suffered a broken foot in Thursday's preseason opener and will require surgery, according to NFL Network's Rand Getlin.
Williams, a sixth-round pick in the 2013 draft, appeared to have turned a corner this offseason after changing his diet and working to improve the weaknesses in his game. His loss leaves the Chargers with seven outside linebackers.
The 24-year-old has 31 tackles, one forced fumble, and a sack in 28 career games.
