Odell Beckham Jr: 'I have no problem with anybody on the team'

New York Giants star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. cleared the air Wednesday after he complained about his teammates making fun of him for missing minicamp with a hamstring injury.

Beckham rose to stardom quickly in a sensational rookie campaign that saw him record 91 catches for 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns. The 22-year-old also won the Madden NFL 16 cover vote and teammates poked fun at his meteoric rise in popular culture.

After a week of rumors about his discontent, Beckham took an opportunity to clarify his earlier remarks.

"I have no problem with anybody on the team or inside or anything," Beckham Jr. told the New York Post's Paul Schwartz

"It was more of, you know, I feel like you can’t take someone's words and you can't really tell the tone they’re saying. I'm like 'Yeah, it gets a bit frustrating when teammates joke with you and it gets written that he's frustrated with teammates and it's like it's not how it sounds. It's weird sometimes."

Beckham's comments starkly contrast the remarks he made last Wednesday.

"For me, this is what I love doing, and this is what I feel like my purpose was to do," Beckham told ESPN's Dan Graziano. "So it takes a lot of strength for me to be able to come here every day and not practice, have to hear the little remarks, the little jokes, this and that.

"And it's not just about a hamstring. It's so many other things that people talk about. So it's hard to come here and try and focus on 'What play is up right now?' instead of thinking about how bad you want to be out there."

Although it's largely unnecessary, Giants fans can take some solace in the fact that their burgeoning star isn't a malcontent heading into his second professional season.
