Selected in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Ravens, Wenning spent his entire rookie season on the practice squad. His former team deemed him expendable after inking Matt Schaub in early May, but Wenning made the most of a recent workout at Paul Brown Stadium and will now compete with Josh Johnson for the third QB gig. If he wins that battle, Wenning would again spend the 2015 season on the practice squad with a member of the AFC North.
