Taylor Mays is staying in the NFC North following his release from the Minnesota Vikings.
The former USC standout has reached a deal with the Detroit Lions, marketing agent Fadde Mikhail confirmed to ESPN's Adam Schefter. This is the fourth destination for Mays.
Mays signed a one-year deal with the Vikings earlier this offseason, reuniting him with former Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer, whom he spent four seasons under in Cincinnati. The reunion was short-lived, though, as the Vikings parted ways with Mays on Tuesday after just three months.
In 66 career games, Mays has 98 tackles, one sack, and six passes defended.
