The Atlanta Falcons are set to sign guard Chris Chester, according Vaughan McClure of ESPN.

The deal is for one-year at $2.8 million.

The veteran was released by the Washington Redskins on Wednesday after starting every game since 2011. He was reportedly set to visit with the Falcons and Philadelphia Eagles following his release.

At 32 Chester will give the Falcons some much needed depth along the offensive line, with experience at guard and center in the past. He is following offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan to Atlanta.

Chester will have the inside track on a starting job on the Falcons thin line.
