The Giants' left tackle underwent surgery to repair the issue and based on that timetable it's clear that he'll miss time at the start of the coming season. His injury is a blow to the team's offensive line and presumably puts top draft pick Ereck Flowers (who had been penciled in to work at right tackle) in a position where he must fill in for Beatty out of the gate.
