Analysis:

The 47th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, Rowe is big enough to play safety but also fast enough to play corner. With Byron Maxwell locked into one outside job and Brandon Boykin locked in as the slot corner, Rowe and Walter Thurmond will likely compete for a starting spot. The Eagles could use help at both cornerback and safety, so it won't be all that surprising if Rowe eventually gets a look at both positions during training camp. It makes sense for the Eagles to start him off at the more highly-valued position.
