Strengths
- Impressive athletic ability that is most apparent in his burst off the line of scrimmage and ability to close in on the quarterback.
- Has shown that he can beat offensive tackles with both speed around the edge and counter moves back to the inside, and should only get better in both areas with some refined technique.
- Also able to convert speed to power off the edge, transitioning his explosive get-off into an effective bull rush.
- Makes use of quick feet and active hands to gain position and beat opposing offensive tackles.
Weaknesses
- Played exclusively with his hand in the dirt as a 4-3 defensive end, but would need to add size if he expects to play a similar role at the next level.
- Lacks the ideal length for an edge defender in the NFL.
- Highly effective and consistent pass-rusher throughout his college career, but the majority of his production came against lower-level competition.
