Adding some depth and competition to their wide receiver group in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL Draft, the Washington Redskins selected Jamison Crowder out of Duke with the 105th overall pick.

Crowder is an ideal fit for the slot position at the next level, also bringing plenty of value as a return man on special teams.

Strengths

  • Does a good job beating press coverage despite his small frame.
  • Gets on top of defenders quickly and stretches the defense. Accelerates well and uses double moves effectively.
  • Posted more than 1,000 yards in each of his last three seasons at Duke.
  • Explosive punt returner. Ran back four for touchdowns in the past two years.

Weaknesses

  • Doesn't have ideal size for the pro game.
  • Much of his production came on short-screen passes and high-percentage throws.
  • Struggles to maintain control of the ball on contested catches because of his lack of strength.
  • Won't offer much as a run blocker.
