Report: Cardinals to host Nate Irving on free-agent visit

The Arizona Cardinals will reportedly host linebacker Nate Irving on a free-agent visit at some point this week, according to Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.

Irving emerged as an impact player toward the end of his four-year stint with the Denver Broncos and could be a solid addition to help solidify the Cardinals' front seven.

Though the Cardinals already agreed to terms with free agent Sean Weatherspoon, the second starting spot at inside linebacker remains a pressing need with the retirement of Larry Foote and the questions still surrounding the status of Daryl Washington.
