The Kansas City Chiefs have released veteran defensive tackle Vance Walker.
A once promising free-agent signing from last offseason, Walker's lone year with the club was relatively disappointing, as he started just two of 16 games and tallied two sacks.
Kansas City saves $1.75 million against the salary cap with Walker's release, allowing the 27-year-old to get somewhat of a head start on free agency as he hits the open market for the third time in as many years.
