Just days after being released by the Philadelphia Eagles, veteran defensive end Trent Cole has a free-agent visit scheduled with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to Adam Caplan of ESPN.

The 32-year-old had been one of the NFL's most consistent pass-rushers over the course of his 10 seasons with the Eagles, tallying an impressive 85.5 sacks in 155 games.

While he could conceivably be limited to a situational pass-rush role at some point in the near future, Cole still has plenty to offer a team on the free-agent market and should draw plenty of interest around the league.

After finishing the 2014 season with 36 total sacks, the Buccaneers could certainly benefit from Cole's presence on the edge.

The San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks also have interest in Cole, according to Matt Barrows of The Sacramento Bee.
