NFL, charity donating losing team championship shirts to developing nations

The NFL has joined Good360, a non-profit organization, to give away surplus shirts that showcase false histories such as "2014 Denver Broncos Super Bowl Champions."

According to Good360's website, the company aims to "help companies efficiently donate slow-moving, obsolete and seasonal inventory to charitable organizations."

"We selected Good360 because of the reach they have with hundreds of different charitable organizations, including World Vision, across the globe," Anna Isaacson, the NFL’s vice-president of social responsibility, said to the Toronto Star's Curtis Rush. "That breadth appealed to us, and we're looking forward to working with them."

The shirts are distributed to developing countries such as Uganda, Zambia and El Salvador, among many others.

The league gives away approximately 100,000 shirts and caps per year, according to World Vision's data.

The NFL produces two sets of T-shirts for any outcome, so the winner of the conference championship games and Super Bowl will have apparel documenting the achievement immediately.
