As expected, the NFL has suspended Detroit Lions center Dominic Raiola one game without pay for stomping on the ankle of Chicago Bears defensive tackle Ego Ferguson in Sunday's game.

According to the league's official release, the suspension comes for a violation of safety-related playing rules and is Raiola's sixth safety-related rules violation since 2010.

Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall is certainly a fan of the suspension.

Raiola will have the opportunity to appeal his punishment within the next three days, but he appears set to miss the Lions' regular season finale against the Green Bay Packers.
