Report: Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin may be fired at end of season
The Miami Dolphins have lost two consecutive games at the wrong time, and it may spell the end for head coach Joe Philbin if the trend continues.
Philbin is in his third season as Dolphins head coach, but the club has yet to make the playoffs during his tenure.
"A source familiar with the owner’s thinking said (Stephen) Ross would try to make a significant move if the Dolphins cannot salvage this season to the extent the team makes the playoffs," reports Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald.
Salguero reports the Dolphins might pursue San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh, who's rumored to be leaving the organization at the end of the year.
Miami fell to 7-7 with a loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday and it may have doomed their postseason chances.
