Tre Mason leads Rams to 52-0 blowout win over Raiders

The St. Louis Rams controlled Sunday's game against the Oakland Raiders from start to finish, putting together one of the most dominant performances from any team so far this season, en route a 52-0 win.

The Rams continue to move in the right direction after a slow start to the year, now sitting at 5-7, while the Raiders failed to build on last week's win and drop to 1-11.

Here's what you need to know:

  • Running back Tre Mason was once again highly productive in the Rams' feature role, tallying 117 yards and two scores on the ground as well as 47 yards and one touchdown as a receiver out of the backfield.
  • Wide receiver Stedman Bailey appears to be emerging as a much-needed play-making wide receiver for the Rams' offense, notching five catches for 100 yards all in the first quarter.
  • As good as the offense was, moving the ball at will throughout the day, a dominant showing from the Rams' defense made it impossible for the Raiders to compete.
  • Coming away with a shutout, the Rams defense forced five turnovers (three interceptions and two fumble recoveries), taking one in for a score.
  • The Rams' defensive front was able to create pressure with consistency, notching a total of six sacks on the day, including three from star defensive end Robert Quinn.
  • Raiders quarterback Derek Carr had the worst performance of his rookie season, completing 24-of-39 passes for 173 yards and two interceptions.
  • The Raiders' running game reverted back to its previous struggles with Latavius Murray out of the lineup, averaging just 2.9 yards per carry on the day.
  • The 38-0 halftime score set the Raiders' franchise record for largest halftime deficit.
