Cleveland Browns safety Tashaun Gipson suffered a badly sprained MCL Sunday, according to FOX Sport's Mike Garafolo.

Gipson, who leads the league in interceptions, underwent an MRI on Monday. Although the injury is serious, he luckily avoided an ACL injury that would have sidelined him for months.

He will reportedly miss the rest of the regular season but could be available should the Browns make the playoffs.
