The Oakland Raiders recorded their first win of the season, defeating the Kansas City Chiefs 24-20.

Derek Carr found James Jones for a nine-yard touchdown pass with less than two minutes remaining, sealing the victory for the Raiders.

Oakland (1-10) is the last team in the NFL to record its first win, while Kansas City (7-4) blew an opportunity to gain separation in the AFC playoff race.

Here's what you need to know:

  • Latavius Murray opened the scoring for the Raiders on an 11-yard touchdown run. It was the first rushing touchdown the Chiefs have surrendered this season.
  • Murray gave the Raiders a 14-0 lead on a spectacular 90-yard touchdown run. It wasn't all good news for Murray, however. He left the game with a concussion in the second quarter after receiving a huge hit from Chiefs safety Kurt Coleman.
  • Oakland led 14-3 at halftime; it was the Raiders first halftime lead of the season.
  • Jamaal Charles tied the game at 17 in the fourth quarter on a 30-yard reception, sprinting past four Raiders defenders for the touchdown. Cairo Santos kicked a 25-yard field goal with nine minutes remaining, giving Kansas City a 20-17 lead.
  • Carr wasn't great, going 18-of-35 with 174 yards, a touchdown and no interceptions. Yet, he was good enough in the fourth quarter and did enough to get the first win of his career.
  • Raiders safety Charles Woodson became the first player in NFL history to record 50 career interceptions and 20 sacks when he took down Alex Smith in the third quarter.
  • Smith went 20-of-36 for 234 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions but didn't take many shots downfield. The Chiefs' lack of imagination in their offensive playcalling led to their demise Thursday.
