The Pittsburgh Steelers came away with a victory over the Tennessee Titans on Monday, but that's not where the battle ended for safety Mike Mitchell.
Mitchell was asked by the team to stay way from social media after sending several inappropriate messages to fans, including telling one to "kill yourself", according to Scott Brown of ESPN.com.
Fans were reportedly complaining about Mitchell's play during the game.
“If people tweet me, I tweet them back,” Mitchell told KDKA-TV.
Mitchell is in his first year with the Steelers and has started every game this season, recording 38 tackles.
