Rivers is dealing with bruised ribs and possible cartilage damage, according to the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Before the Chargers narrowly beat the lowly Oakland Raiders on Sunday afternoon, the team had dropped three straight, with Rivers tossing six interceptions against five touchdowns during that span.
Rivers appeared to suffer a right leg injury during the third quarter of Sunday's game, but ultimately stayed on the field, completing 22-of-34 passes for 193 yards and a touchdown.
