Colts' LaRon Landry may lose starting job
Indianapolis Colts safety LaRon Landry is back on the active roster, but there's no guarantee he'll resume starting duties once the team returns from a Week 10 bye.
Landry was activated off the exempt/commissioner permission list Tuesday after serving a four-game suspension for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing drugs.
Head coach Chuck Pagano said the Colts will continue to evaluate Landry when practice resumes Monday.
"What we're going to do is stick with the plan," Pagano said, according to Stephen Holder of the Indianapolis Star. "We'll keep letting him get his legs underneath him. When he gets back on Monday we will continue to evaluate him on a daily basis."
Sergio Brown has been solid in relief of Landry, racking up 14 tackles and three passes defended over the past five games. However, Pagano declined to make comparisons between the two.
"They're both good football players," he said. "Both have good instincts ... I'm not going to categorize."
