Report: Patriots' Akeem Ayers fined $8,250 for kicking Bears' Kyle Long in the groin

New England Patriots linebacker Akeem Ayers certainly had an interesting debut with his new club.

Ayers recorded five tackles in a 51-23 rout of the Chicago Bears, but his wallet will be a little lighter after he decided to kick Bears guard Kyle Long in the groin. The Patriots' new acquisition was fined $8,250 for the offense, according to the Chicago Tribune's Brad Biggs. 

New England faces the Denver Broncos on Sunday in a rematch of last season's AFC Championship Game.
